Promotion at the end of the year will be based on a total continuous Assessment in every Subject, and on the work done during the year.
Unit tests are held regularly during each term. There are three Terminal Examinations. Progress Reports are given to the students to be shown to their parents/ guardians and to be countersigned by them.
Performance of a student throughout the whole year will be taken into account in considering the promotion of a student.
For students who are absent for any Assessment, no provision can be made for supplementary tests.
Failure to appear at any Assessment can seriously affect a student’s promotion.
The breach of any of the regulations of conduct at examinations or the use of unfair means, even if discovered subsequently, will result in the cancellation of the particular paper and the student concerned will be awarded zero. If such misconduct is repeated, he or she will be expelled from the entire examination (all Subjects).
For failed candidates there is no arrangement for “re-examination” or “promotion on trial”.
The result of the Final Assessment is final and cannot be changed.
In all questions of promotion or failure the Principal’s decision is final.
The Board’s mark sheet / pass certificate and migration certificate will be handed over to the student concerned or their parents only.
Usually certificates are issued from the school only after the application for the same reaches the school three days prior to it.
